proposed project:

the reserve at laetitia

Project Address: Laetitia Winery & Vineyards Property

Applicant: Janneck Limited

summary:

The Reserve at Laetitia (reserveatlaetitia.com) is an agricultural cluster proposed for the 1,522-acre family-owned property surrounding Laetitia Winery in Southern SLO County. The project will preserve 92.4 percent of the land in permanent open space/ag use and add 101 new home sites similar to those in Edna Ranch in San Luis Obispo and Las Ventanas Ranch in Arroyo Grande. The proposal is based on the County’s Agricultural Cluster Subdivision Ordinance, a tool that allows for limited development partnered with permanent agriculture and open space protection. SLO County Planning Commission denial of the project is being appealed to the Board of Supervisors on September 27th. The Reserve will generate new property tax and other revenues while providing thoughtful, well planned home sites rather than checkerboard development. The applicant has worked for over a decade to address all concerns re water, traffic, agriculture and others.
